Australian EV charging company Tritium to supply fast chargers to US government

Brisbane-based manufacturer of electric vehicle fast chargers developer Tritium DCFC is now offering its direct current fast chargers to US government agencies. 

This comes after the company secured a five-year blanket purchase agreement (BPA) with the US General Services Administration (GSA) dedicated to EV-related equipment. 

Under the contract, US federal agencies will be able to tap into Tritiums cutting-edge modular fast charges through any company partners that are current multiple award schedule holders and have secured a BPA contract. 

In a media release, Tritium said the GSA contract reflects the company’s commitment to “electrifying North America through its state-of-the-art DC fast chargers.” 

It also follows the opening of the company’s first US manufacturing facility in Lebanon, Tennessee. 

“The future of transportation across the United States is electric, and the federal government is leading by example,” said Tritium CEO Jane Hunter. 

“After opening one of the country’s only DC fast charger manufacturing facilities in August, Tritium is proud to support the federal government’s efforts to electrify its transportation operations.”
