Australian Manufacturing Week 2026 opened today in Brisbane, bringing together manufacturers, technology providers and industry leaders for three days focused on manufacturing innovation, automation and emerging technologies, according to organisers AMTIL.
Held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 12 to 14 May 2026, the event features more than 230 exhibitors showcasing live manufacturing technologies and production solutions across sectors including automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, metrology and software.
Organised by AMTIL, Australian Manufacturing Week is positioned as a national event for the precision manufacturing and engineering industries, with this year’s theme titled “Manufacturing the Future Through Tech Innovation”.
AMTIL chief executive Lorraine Maxwell said the event was designed to help manufacturers assess technologies in practical settings.
“Australian Manufacturing Week is where technology meets reality,” Maxwell said.
“By bringing together such a broad range of technologies and demonstrating them live, the event allows manufacturers to evaluate solutions side by side and have meaningful, informed conversations about what will work in their own operations.”
Alongside the exhibition floor, the Future Solutions Speaker Program will feature presentations and panel discussions covering topics including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, workforce skills, sustainability, defence manufacturing and global competitiveness.
Maxwell said the program aimed to provide manufacturers with practical insight into industry challenges and opportunities.
“The challenges facing manufacturers today are complex and interconnected,” she said.
“The Future Solutions Speaker Program is about cutting through that complexity and giving industry clear, relevant perspectives on what matters now and what’s coming next.”
The event is free for industry personnel to attend, with organisers expecting strong participation from visitors across Australia and overseas.
Industry professionals can register through the official Australian Manufacturing Week website.
