Australian caravan manufacturer Crusader Caravans has launched a new Deposit Promise designed to protect eligible customers if an authorised dealer is unable to fulfil an initial caravan order.
Under the program, customers who place eligible new Crusader or Dreamhaven Caravan factory orders with an authorised dealer from August 1, 2026, and register the order with Crusader, can have up to 10% of the total order value honoured toward their caravan build if the dealer is unable to fulfil the order.
According to Crusader Caravans, the initiative is intended to ensure customers retain their place in the company’s production schedule. If the promise is triggered, Crusader said it will transfer the order to another authorised dealer and honour the eligible deposit amount toward the build.
In a news release, the company said the Deposit Promise also applies to its Dreamhaven Caravans brand, extending the same protection to eligible customers of the second brand.
Crusader Caravans CEO Serge Valentino said the initiative was intended to extend the company’s focus on manufacturing quality and customer support to the dealership experience.
“Now, with the Deposit Promise, we’re extending the confidence customers already have in our manufacturing excellence to the dealership experience by stepping in to honour a customer’s dealer-held deposit in the unlikely event that an authorised dealer is unable to do so,” Valentino said.
He said the program reflected the company’s approach to supporting customers through the caravan ownership process.
“Buying a caravan is a significant investment, and people deserve confidence from the moment they place their order,” Valentino said. “Our focus is on ensuring every stage of the ownership journey lives up to the excitement of buying a Crusader.”
Crusader said the Deposit Promise forms part of its “Circle of Trust”, which brings together industry accreditations and awards received by the manufacturer.
The company describes itself as Australia’s second-largest manufacturer of Australian-made caravans and said it has received the Caravan Industry Victoria Manufacturer of the Year award in 2019, 2021, 2024 and 2025.
The Deposit Promise is capped at 10% of the total order value and excludes existing floor stock. Crusader said affected customers would be contacted directly if the program is triggered, with the full terms and conditions applying.
