Good Design Week 2026 is underway, with Good Design Australia set to announce recipients of the Australian Good Design Awards across more than 30 categories throughout the week.
According to Good Design Australia, the five-day program, running from October 5 to 9, will recognise projects spanning products, architecture, digital experiences, services, systems, policy and social impact.
The organisation said the awards assess entries against three core criteria: Good Design, Design Innovation and Design Impact. Recognition is divided across several levels, including Australian Good Design Award Winner, Gold Winner and Best in Class.
Award announcements began on 6 October with the first group of Australian Good Design Award winners, followed by Gold Winners on 7 October and Best in Class recipients on 8 October.
The week will conclude on 9 October with selected Special Accolades announced during the day, before the 2026 Australian Good Design Awards Ceremony at ICC Sydney from 6pm.
Good Design Australia said the final ceremony will reveal the Australian Good Design Award Best in Discipline recipients, additional Special Accolades, the Australian Good Design Award for Sustainability and the Australian Good Design Award of the Year.
The organisation said this year’s recipients demonstrate the breadth of contemporary design and its potential to influence products, industries, communities and wider social outcomes.
Award recipients are being announced through the Good Design Australia website and its social media channels throughout the week.
