South Australia’s food and beverage manufacturing sector has been highlighted among the finalists for the 2026 South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards, with Food South Australia announcing businesses and individuals recognised across 17 categories.

The finalists span primary producers, manufacturers, hospitality businesses, service providers and industry leaders, with new categories this year recognising marketing, workplace culture, innovation and contributions from interstate and international organisations operating manufacturing facilities in South Australia.

Food South Australia CEO Tori Dixon-Whittle said the finalists demonstrated the breadth of capability across the state’s food and beverage sector.

“South Australia produces exceptional food and beverages and has earned international recognition for its quality, provenance and innovation,” Dixon-Whittle said.

“What continues to impress me is the drive across the sector – businesses are innovating, expanding into new markets and continually lifting the benchmark.”

The new Innovation Award includes advances in processes and technology, including artificial intelligence, while the State Contribution Award recognises interstate and international organisations making a significant contribution through South Australian manufacturing operations.

Premier Peter Malinauskas said the finalists reflected the contribution of the sector to local employment, communities and South Australian products.

“These businesses are creating local jobs, backing our communities and putting South Australian products on tables here at home and around the world,” Malinauskas said.

The awards also include the Foodland Consumer Choice Award, with a top 20 shortlist selected through public voting. Finalists include food and beverage brands such as Fleurieu Milk Company, Haigh’s Chocolates, La Casa Del Formaggio, Maggie Beer Products, Nippy’s, Skara Smallgoods and Vili’s Family Bakery.

Manufacturing-related finalists also feature across categories including Business Improvement, Export, New Product, People & Culture and Sustainability. The Export Award includes Bickford’s Australia, Blue Lake Milling, Continental Taralli Biscuits, Mayfair Bakery and Patisserie and The Yoghurt Shop.

Winners will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner on 13 November 2026 at the Adelaide Convention Centre. The Hall of Fame and Business Excellence Award recipients will also be announced during the event.

Food South Australia is an independent, membership-based industry body supporting food and beverage manufacturers, processors and producers across the state.
