The Australasian Railway Association (ARA) is set to welcome more than 2000 rail industry professionals to the AusRAIL 2022 Conference and Exhibition this week at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

ARA Chief Executive Officer Caroline Wilkie said the ARA was delighted to bring the rail industry back together once again to celebrate, network, discuss and engage on the latest issues facing our sector.

“AusRAIL is the premier rail industry event in Australasia and connects the entire rail industry for three days of networking, collaboration and trade opportunities,” Ms Wilkie said.

“We are particularly pleased that we will be in Queensland given the scale of rail-related projects underway in the state, including the Cross River Rail, Inland Rail, Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 and the New Generation Rollingstock program.”

The three-day event from Monday 5 December to Wednesday 7 December features an extensive Exhibition showcasing more than 90 suppliers.

The Conference program features a huge lineup of over 100 speakers representing  industry leaders overseeing public transport services, freight operations, manufacturing and supply chain, including:

“AusRAIL provides a chance to discuss the opportunities that come with these landmark projects, and how the industry is driving innovation to ensure greater productivity and efficiencies for the rail industry,” Ms Wilkie said.

“The program also includes thought-provoking discussions on issues that will influence the future of rail, with dedicated streams on sustainability, diversity, passenger and light rail, asset management, technical, track, safety and signalling, innovation as well as international perspectives.”
