The Queensland Government has officially opened the fourth round of its $33.5 million Manufacturing Hubs Grant Program (MHGP), aimed at bolstering regional manufacturers.

Announced in September 2024, Round 4 offers grants to eligible businesses in the Cairns, Townsville, Central Queensland, Mackay, and Gold Coast regions, with applications open until 30 June 2025 or until all available funding is allocated.

Manufacturing businesses looking to improve productivity, adopt advanced technologies, and create future jobs can access grants ranging from $10,000 to $500,000 under the program.

The grants are part of an ongoing initiative to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in enhancing their manufacturing capabilities.

Eligible manufacturers can use the funding to implement projects focused on technology adoption, skills and training development, and access to advanced robotic manufacturing services.

The program is designed to help regional manufacturers become more productive and adaptable in the face of industry changes.

Round 4 of the MHGP is accepting applications until 30 June 2025.

Full details, including eligibility and assessment criteria, are outlined in the program’s guidelines

Interested businesses are encouraged to reach out to their local manufacturing hub for support with the application process.

For more information on eligibility and to download the program guidelines, visit the official website or contact the manufacturing hub in your region.
