Advanced metal manufacturing company Titomic has joined TWI as an Industrial Member, in a move the company says will support broader collaboration and innovation in materials engineering and production.
In a media release, Titomic said the membership aligns with its focus on delivering end-to-end manufacturing services using its proprietary Titomic Kinetic Fusion cold spray technology.
The company said it provides production, repair and materials engineering solutions designed to enable rapid, on-demand manufacturing of high-performance parts without thermal distortion.
Titomic noted its manufacturing capabilities support sectors including defence, aerospace, oil and gas, mining and industrial manufacturing, with services delivered either in-field or at dedicated facilities.
The company’s offering also includes consulting, design, systems integration and ongoing operational support, which it said removes the need for customers to invest in capital equipment.
According to the company, it also supplies custom powder blends, undertakes precision builds and restorations, and integrates features such as corrosion resistance, radiation shielding and embedded sensors into manufactured components.
Titomic Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Jim Simpson said the membership provides an opportunity to strengthen collaboration in advanced manufacturing.
“Joining TWI as an Industrial Member represents an exciting step forward for Titomic,” Simpson said.
“By collaborating with a globally respected organisation at the forefront of materials joining and engineering innovation, we look forward to accelerating the adoption of Titomic Kinetic Fusion™ cold spray technology and delivering even greater value to our customers worldwide.”
TWI said Industrial Membership provides companies with access to consultancy and technical support services, as well as knowledge resources, technologies and innovation programmes. Members are also able to participate in a range of research initiatives.
Titomic said it operates manufacturing hubs across Australia, Europe and the United States and holds ISO 9100D/AS 9100D certification, supporting what it described as global delivery and compliance across regulated industries.
TWI welcomed the company’s membership, stating it looks forward to supporting Titomic in achieving its objectives through access to its technical expertise and collaborative research programmes.
