The Victorian government has extended the deadline for Low Carbon Manufacturing Grant Program — Business Readiness Stream applications, providing Victorian businesses until 17 February to submit their claims.

The program targets small to medium-sized manufacturers in Victoria, who seek to accelerate their technology adoption and foster the commercialisation or late-stage research and development of products for local and global supply chains.

Selected businesses in the program will be provided access to business services, as well as advice and expertise to capitalise on emerging market opportunities associated with low carbon economy.

Eligible applicants may apply for grants of up to $50,000. All grants must be matched by a minimum cash co-contribution of $1 for every $1 granted.

Interested applicants must submit the necessary supporting documents as detailed in the program guidelines on or before the set deadline and await email confirmation of application submission.

The program is a critical component of Victoria’s net zero transition, enabling local manufacturers to grow, in turn bolstering the state’s economic activity.

Net zero transition in the state would also mean securing well-paid jobs, increasing exports, and reducing Victoria’s dependence on global supply chains.
