A new design activation highlighting Australian manufacturing is underway as part of Australian Made Week 2026, with the Australian Made House showcasing locally made products across a curated residential-style installation, according to Australian Made.

Launched during Australian Made Week 2026, the showcase brings together products from more than 25 Australian businesses across living, dining, bedroom and outdoor spaces, demonstrating how locally manufactured goods can be integrated into everyday home environments.

Interior designer and stylist James Treble, who led the creative direction of the installation, said the concept was designed to highlight the accessibility and versatility of Australian-made products in home design.

“This project is about showing people that designing a beautiful home doesn’t mean looking overseas, everything you need already exists here,” Treble said.

He said the installation was intentionally styled to feel lived-in and practical rather than highly staged, aiming to reflect how Australians actually use their homes.

“What I love is that it’s not about producing a clinical shoot-ready look, it’s about creating spaces that feel lived-in, personal and achievable with authentic character and personality,” he said.

The installation spans furniture, homewares, building materials and everyday essentials, with the display intended to highlight the breadth of Australian manufacturing across multiple product categories within a single home setting.

Australian Made Chief Executive Ben Lazzaro said the activation forms part of broader efforts during Australian Made Week to encourage consumers to consider locally produced goods.

“It has been rewarding to be bringing together Australian Made products, brands and craftsmanship within a single, cohesive space. The activation illustrates how Australian Made products can be seamlessly integrated across every room of the home,” Lazzaro said.

He said the showcase also reflects the wider economic role of local purchasing decisions, particularly in supporting supply chains and employment linked to manufacturing.

“From hero furniture pieces to smaller household essentials, each product has been thoughtfully incorporated to reflect how Australians actually live,” he said.

Australian Made Week encourages Australians to consider local alternatives in everyday purchasing decisions, with organisers noting that even small shifts in spending habits can contribute to manufacturing activity and broader economic benefits.

Australian Made Week 2026 runs from 18–24 May 2026. Consumers and businesses can learn more, discover Australian Made brands and get involved at Australian Made Week.
