Epicor has announced the general availability of its Epicor Prism artificial intelligence (AI) portfolio across Australia and New Zealand, introducing embedded AI capabilities for manufacturing and distribution organisations through its enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
In a news release, the company said Prism is embedded within its Epicor Kinetic and Prophet 21 ERP platforms, enabling users to access live ERP data and related documents through natural-language queries without requiring specialised analytics skills or separate AI tools.
Epicor said the launch is part of its broader Cognitive ERP strategy, which aims to help organisations interpret operational data, make decisions and take action in real time.
Graeme Evans, Regional Vice President AU/NZ & Pacific at Epicor, said manufacturers and distributors are operating in an increasingly complex environment.
“Across Australia and New Zealand, manufacturers and distributors are operating in an increasingly complex environment, balancing workforce challenges, rising costs, supply chain pressures and the need to remain competitive. While many organisations have access to vast amounts of data, turning that information into timely and informed decisions remains a challenge.”
Evans said there was growing demand for technology that helps teams understand operational data within their day-to-day workflows.

By bringing relevant insights directly into business processes, Epicor Prism can help organisations identify issues earlier, supports more informed decisions and improve productivity without adding complexity,” he explained.
According to Epicor, Prism operates using customers’ ERP data while maintaining governance controls and human oversight.
The company said the platform includes more than 18 pre-built AI agents designed to support manufacturing and distribution tasks, including analysing material requirements planning (MRP) data, identifying supply chain risks, reducing manual work and assisting employees with embedded knowledge capabilities.
