EngineAI has launched a new intelligent manufacturing base in Shenzhen and announced that the first batch of its T800 humanoid robots has rolled off the production line, marking the start of mass deliveries and an expansion of its manufacturing capabilities.

According to the company, the new EngineAI Intelligent Manufacturing (Honghualing, Shenzhen) Base spans approximately 12,000 square metres and is designed to support scalable production of humanoid robots.

EngineAI said the facility integrates processes including material inspection, component assembly testing, final assembly, end-of-line testing, shipment and after-sales maintenance.

The company stated that the facility is capable of producing a new humanoid robot every 15 minutes and represents a step toward a delivery capacity of up to 10,000 units.

EngineAI founder and chief executive officer Zhao Tongyang said the launch reflects the company’s transition from pilot production to larger-scale manufacturing.

“From our first test machine in 2024, to the small-scale production of hundreds of PM01 units in 2025, and now to the qualitative leap toward a 10,000-unit delivery capability, we are entering a new phase of industrialization and commercialization,” Zhao said.

“By building a manufacturing system centered on quality, efficiency, and intelligent production, we have accelerated our journey from pilot production to mass manufacturing and from zero to scale.”

EngineAI said its manufacturing and quality assurance framework is built around supply chain quality control, automated production processes, digital manufacturing management and extensive product testing.

According to the company, automated locking, gluing and laser welding technologies have improved production efficiency by 40 per cent while maintaining standardised processes. EngineAI also said each robot undergoes 79 quality inspections and 46 working-condition simulation tests before delivery.

The company noted that its digital manufacturing system provides traceability across the production process, allowing components and finished robots to be tracked throughout the value chain.

EngineAI co-founder Ren Guowen said the company is also expanding its manufacturing footprint beyond Shenzhen.

“As our intelligent manufacturing network expands across Shenzhen, Henan, and beyond, these facilities will work together to better allocate capacity and respond faster to the market, creating a more efficient foundation for future global growth,” Ren said.

Founded in 2023, EngineAI develops humanoid robots and embodied artificial intelligence technologies. Its product portfolio includes the SA01, SE01, PM01 and T800 humanoid robot platforms, which are designed for applications across commercial services, education, scientific research and industrial manufacturing.

The company said it is working with industry partners to support wider adoption of humanoid robotics as the technology moves from research and development into commercial deployment.
