Sandvik Coromant is set to spotlight a new approach to productivity and sustainability at Australian Manufacturing Week 2025, positioning itself not just as a tooling provider but as a strategic partner driving innovation and operational wellness across the manufacturing sector.

The global metal cutting specialist will exhibit at Stand MS360 in the Manufacturing Solutions Zone of the International Convention Centre Sydney from 6 to 9 May, with a focus on collaboration, digital integration, and long-term efficiency.

Advisory-first booth with software partners

In a shift from traditional exhibition formats, Sandvik Coromant will share its booth with Mastercam and Vericut – two software companies under the Sandvik Machining Solutions group – aiming to provide a more consultative experience for visitors.

“[R]ather than displaying tools, we’ll have advisory booths to hold meaningful conversations with visitors looking to optimise their machine investment and tackle their manufacturing challenges,” said Manny Valenza, Sales Cluster Manager for Southeast Asia and Oceania.

The stand will also feature a live demonstration of the CoroPlus Tool Supply system, integrated into the Robocrib TX750 vending machine to showcase smart, automated inventory management in action.

Emphasis on strategic partnerships and end-to-end support

Valenza emphasised that Sandvik Coromant’s offering goes beyond tooling to include complete turnkey packages, such as CNC programming, toolpath simulation, project timelines, and technical support – all designed to help customers improve efficiency and reduce lead times.

“[W]e are highlighting the importance of an integrated digital ecosystem — one that empowers manufacturers to make better decisions, maximise existing assets and continuously improve,” he said.

This year’s presence at AMW also underscores the company’s collaboration with key machine tool makers and resellers. Tools such as CoroDrill® DE10, CoroCut 2, and CoroDrill® Dura 462 will be featured live on machines across the show floor, providing attendees with an opportunity to see their capabilities firsthand.

The yellow coat legacy and global support network

A distinctive element of the Sandvik Coromant brand is its yellow coat, symbolising its legacy of deep technical expertise. Historically worn by sales and technical engineers during on-site tool trials, the coat has become synonymous with trusted knowledge and productivity improvement.

“[O]ur yellow coat experts lead in-depth technical sessions, offer live machining demonstrations and share practical insights that help customers enhance their operations and stay competitive in an ever-evolving landscape,” Valenza said.

Introducing ‘Manufacturing Wellness’ to Australian audiences

For the first time at AMW, the company will introduce its Manufacturing Wellness framework – an initiative developed to inspire healthier, more resilient manufacturing practices.

“Manufacturing Wellness serves to inspire healthier, more resilient manufacturing practices. Based on decades of experience working with world-leading manufacturers, we identified a set of common, successful habits — a blueprint for operational excellence,” explained Valenza.

“These habits are taking a holistic perspective, embracing new technology, choosing a sustainable path, eliminating waste, unlocking potential with data, benefitting from strong partners, developing your team and automating for success.”

Looking ahead to AMW 2025

As the manufacturing industry navigates an increasingly complex landscape shaped by digital transformation and sustainability goals, Sandvik Coromant’s participation at AMW 2025 reflects its commitment to driving progress through technology, collaboration and shared expertise.
