Titomic Limited has received a stock order from mining engineering company Brauntell for D523 cold-spray Systems for $A3$5,000.

Brauntell, which offers specialist and expert sustainment services to the Australian mining industry, is expected to sell on-sell the systems to mining end users in NSW and Queensland.

To guarantee equipment operability, the mining industry and many others rely on developed maintenance programs. However, due to a reliance on outside repair and replacement services, unforeseen machinery malfunctions can result in months-long downtimes and associated lost revenue.

The Systems apply a variety of metal coatings to metal items via high-velocity particle deposition, allowing for rapid manual or robotic restoration of surfaces and geometries. Metal components can be internally machined to final tolerance after being sprayed.

Ultimately, the systems give operators the ability to re-shore and bring maintenance and repair work in-house to boost self-sufficiency, which results in shorter lead times and higher profitability and productivity.

Herbert Koeck, Managing Director of Titomic said the sale comes on top of the purchase order for a System to Brauntell announced in July, and now establishes repeat business through the reseller channel and provides the company with a presence in the mining sector.

“Partnering with Brauntell, a company with deep and extensive expertise within the mining industry, is a solid first step into the mining sector and through the reseller channel,” Mr Koeck said.

“This engagement is further proof that we continue to strongly deliver on our commercial strategy. Resellers provide Titomic with an efficient means of extending our reach into end users.

“With Brauntell, we’re able to leverage both their expertise and our novel technology to introduce competitive services to the market.

“Our partnership with Brauntell will be lengthy and fruitful for both parties.”

Scott Farrell, Innovation and Strategy Executive of Brauntell, said the Systems will further enhance the company’s product offering within maintenance and repair servicing.

“Partnering with Titomic, we’re able to further expand our product offering to our customer base, leading to further opportunities within the market,” he stated.

This technology provides a simple, cost-effective repair and maintenance solution to mining and beyond.

“We’re excited for what’s to come in the near and distant future for this technology and this partnership.”
