
Victoria’s mRNA manufacturing capability has received international recognition after mRNA Victoria was named the winner of the RNA Excellence in Australia award at IMAPAC’s Asia-Pacific RNA Excellence Awards 2026, according to mRNA Victoria.
The award was presented during the Asia-Pacific RNA Excellence Awards, held in Singapore on 30 June, where IMAPAC recognised experts, organisations and innovations contributing to RNA research, development and manufacturing across the region.
According to mRNA Victoria, the award recognises the work of Victoria’s mRNA researchers, scientists and clinicians and marks the organisation’s progress over the past five years in advancing RNA technology.
mRNA Victoria said the recognition also highlights Victoria’s manufacturing facilities and research programs, describing them as world-class.
Victorian Commissioner to South East Asia Naïla Mazzucco accepted the award on behalf of mRNA Victoria.
According to the organisation, the recognition reinforces Victoria’s position in RNA research and technology and reflects efforts to establish a sovereign mRNA capability in Australia.
mRNA Victoria said this capability includes the development of a skilled workforce alongside investment in advanced manufacturing facilities.
The organisation also congratulated the mRNA Victoria team following the announcement of the award.
