Australia’s leading designer and manufacturer of composite products XTEK has received new purchase orders totalling a combined value of $2.35 million.

According to the ASX Announcement, the latest order includes multiple orders for urgent specialist ballistic armour worth $2.15 million and a separate order for hardware and software technology products worth $200 000.

This final order brings the company’s new order bookings over the last month to over $13.2 million.

“XTEK supplies world-class, advanced personal protection ballistic products and high-end technology solutions to militaries, law enforcement agencies and first responder customers all around the world,” said Scott Bashman, XTEK Group CEO.

“These new orders, totalling A$2.35 million, which come quickly on the back of almost A$11 million in other orders we received across the Group during March, continue to show the high demand we are experiencing for our advanced ballistic armour products, as well as for the high end hardware and software technology solutions that we provide to law enforcement agencies and military organizations.”

Just last month, the company announced a new purchase order totalling A$2.75m from the Commonwealth of Australia’s Department of Defence, for “Wasp” Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) systems.

Mr Bashman said the new high-performance ballistics products will be priority shipped to the international customers, “to meet their urgent operational needs”, while the specialist software and hardware productions will be shipped later this year to a separate client.

“The Group continues to develop additional large supply opportunities for our armour products in particular currently with other international customers, and we expect to make further announcements on the outcome of those projects in due course,” Mr Bashman said.
