Cromford Group to open new Mackay manufacturing plant

Cromford Group Pty Ltd, the Australian polyethylene pipe manufacturer and distributor, has announced that it will officially open its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Paget, Mackay, Queensland on Monday 7 July 2014.

According to the official news release by Cromford, with the new manufacturing facility, the company is one step closer to achieving its mission to become “the leading PE pipe production and preferred delivery partner for major infrastructure projects and distribution channels.”

The opening ceremony will be attended by numerous renowned dignitaries, namely Mayor Deirdre Comerford, Deputy Mayor Kevin Casey and Councillor for Planning & Development Mr David Perkins.

Cromford Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Washington H Soul Pattinson Ltd (WHSP), a significant investment house with a portfolio encompassing many industries, namely pharmaceuticals, coal mining, building materials, equity investments, telecommunications and corporate consulting.

Mr Robert Millner, CEO and Chairman of WHSP will conduct the Official Opening ceremony.

Cromford Pipe manufactures and distributes polyethylene pipes and HDPE Flexi Drainage pipes and PVC Flexi Drainage pipes to numerous industries: mining and energy, plumbing, gas, water, sewer, irrigation and drainage and electrical and communications.
