Personal care and cosmetics manufacturer BWX Ltd will transition segments of its USA manufacturing operations to Victoria in a move that will create 50 new jobs over the next five years.

The company will move some of its USA-based manufacturing operations to its Dandenong headquarters, roughly a year after acquiring the nation’s number one selling facial skin care brand, Andalou Naturals, in a $80 million transaction.

BWX also plans to partner with Victorian universities to triple its Victorian R&D activities and carry out more than 200 projects per year.

Victorian Minister for Trade and Investment Philip Dalidakis said the new Dandenong facility will provide local jobs and increase BWX’s exports by 90% over five years.

“BWX’s decision to consolidate its manufacturing operations in Victoria is a testament to our strong economy, great business conditions and deep talent pool,” the Minister continued.

“In Victoria we have all the right ingredients for pharmaceutical manufacturers to grow and that’s evident by the amount of pharma companies that now call Victoria home.”

“Advanced manufacturing is crucial to the future of our state – it will bolster the exports that support our economy and create countless jobs.”
