Weld Australia has unveiled a new membership model aimed at lifting capability, quality, and safety across the nation’s welding and manufacturing sectors.
In a news release, Weld Australia said the refreshed, value-driven structure is designed to reflect how Australia’s welding, fabrication, and manufacturing industries operate, mapping benefits to the real needs of businesses and professionals across the supply chain.
“As the peak body for welding, our purpose is simple: ensure Australian industry can not only compete, but grow and thrive,” said Geoff Crittenden, Chief Executive Officer of Weld Australia. “To this end, I’m excited to launch a new membership structure that reflects the needs of our members.”
Crittenden said the new segment-based model offers tangible value from the outset, with benefits ranging from discounts and offers to long-term support through advocacy and professional development.
“Members gain immediate savings through discounts and offers, and ongoing returns through recognition, advocacy and community,” he said. “Whether you’re aiming to win more work, improve margins, or attract and retain skilled people, this model is designed to help you get there faster.”
Weld Australia noted the new structure includes Corporate Membership for fabricators, contractors and asset owners; Industry Supplier Membership for providers of equipment, consumables and services; and Individual Membership for welders, inspectors, engineers, supervisors, apprentices and educators.
“Weld Australia membership opens the door to opportunity,” Crittenden said. “Through our events and industry groups, you’ll find a community that collaborates to solve challenges. Our team is here to support your journey to excellence through technical leadership, standards guidance, world-class training, and engineering resources that help deliver quality outcomes.”
Crittenden added that the initiative underscores Weld Australia’s commitment to supporting a resilient and sovereign manufacturing sector.
“As your collective voice, we advocate with governments, standards bodies and decision-makers. We work to strengthen local content and build a strong, future-ready manufacturing industry,” he said.
“Whatever your ambitions—growing your business, developing your people, or delivering to the highest standards—we’re here to help you make it happen. Join us, and let’s build a stronger future for Australian welding, together,” Crittenden said.
