Haier Group has completed its exhibition at Milan Design Week 2026, which ran from April 21 to 26, having showcased a six-zone immersive experience that combined design, adaptive technology, and connected systems.

Haier’s brand, Fisher & Paykel, also participated in the event with its own showcase, titled Nature – Ritual at Eurocucina and released its State of the Art Collection.

In its announcement, Haier said the joint appearance represents a key element of its multi-brand global strategy, demonstrating how it operates two distinct brands—one focused on smart ecosystems and the other on heritage design.

Haier’s global approach is built on what the company calls its “Trinity” model, which establishes local research and development, manufacturing, and marketing operations in the markets it serves.

Over three decades, the company has evolved from an export-focused business to one with factories, R&D centres, and international marketing operations.

Haier Group acquired Fisher & Paykel, a premium home appliance manufacturer from New Zealand, in 2012. Since the acquisition, the company has maintained differentiated brand positioning for Haier and Fisher & Paykel in markets including Australia and New Zealand.

The New Zealand R&D centre, one of Haier’s five global hubs, has developed advances in drawer systems, direct drive motors, and linear compressors.

In 2025, two Fisher & Paykel products received Red Dot’s Best of the Best award: the 60cm Series 11 Minimal Combi-Steam Oven and the 91cm Series 11 Integrated Refrigerator Freezer. This recognition highlights the brand’s design capabilities operating under Haier’s ownership.

Beyond consumer appliances, Haier has expanded into health, digital, and energy sectors globally. The company has established life sciences operations in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, supplying ultra-low temperature freezers to Oxford University, Imperial College, and hospitals in Bologna and Copenhagen. Haier New Energy has deployed distributed solar, storage, and balcony power systems in more than 50 countries.

Haier stated it will continue developing its global innovation brand portfolio under the vision “More Creation, More Possibilities.” The company aims to advance technology development, localisation efforts, and cross-industry systems to serve users and partners internationally.
