Agile Robots showcases Physical AI applications for manufacturing at European events

Agile Robots has showcased robotic automation and AI-driven robot training technologies at two European events, highlighting potential applications for manufacturing and industrial automation, according to the company.

At the all about automation event in Zurich on 26 and 27 August, Agile Robots presented two robotic systems aimed at manufacturers and system integrators.

The company demonstrated its Diana 7 robot for force-controlled assembly, using torque sensors in its seven joints to monitor engine head insertion forces in real time. According to Agile Robots, the system is designed to help confirm correct positioning while reducing the risk of jamming and component damage.

Agile Robots also showcased its Thor 12 robotic welding solution, which uses drag-and-drop teaching and low-code controls to enable users to create and adjust welding paths. 

The company said the system can produce welding seams across corner, vertical and inclined welds, including gaps as narrow as 1 mm.

Separately, Agile Robots subsidiary Franka Robotics participated as a Silver Sponsor at IJCAI-ECAI 2026 in Bremen from 15 to 21 August.

The company demonstrated a system designed to convert human demonstrations into structured data for training robot behaviours. 

Visitors used the Franka GELLO Duo to teleoperate the FR3 Duo robot, while Franka Robotics’ LABS platform captured the demonstrations as training data for bimanual manipulation skills.

Agile Robots said the demonstrations across the two events reflected its focus on connecting AI research, robotic platforms and real-world deployment, including industrial automation.
