Manufacturing in Australia is facing continued pressure from ongoing supply chain instabilities, according to the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre (AMGC), which says the disruption is affecting businesses across logistics and financial operations.

AMGC has launched a short survey aimed at capturing the on-the-ground impact on small and medium-sized manufacturing firms.

In a LinkedIn post, AMGC said it is responding to ongoing government consultations by collecting data to better understand how supply chain challenges are affecting manufacturing businesses, particularly SMEs.

The organisation said the findings will help quantify impacts ranging from logistics constraints to balance sheet pressures.

AMGC stated that ongoing supply chain instabilities are placing pressure on businesses and that Australian manufacturers are among those being directly affected.

The survey, which takes approximately five minutes to complete, seeks input from manufacturers to provide a clearer picture of current operational conditions across the sector.

According to AMGC, the initiative is intended to support government consultation processes by providing evidence-based insights from within the manufacturing industry.

The organisation encouraged participation from small and medium-sized manufacturers to help inform the broader understanding of supply chain-related challenges.
