The Conference is dubbed as Australia’s largest sustainability event and will bring together business and industry professionals, as well as strategic leaders who are pioneering and leading sustainability practices and innovations.

Australian Sustainability is working closely with an Advisory Board composed of sustainability business experts with representatives from organizations such as Sustainable Business Australia, Carbon Extra, Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA), Banksia Environmental Foundation, Turning Green, German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Focal Point Australia and OgilvyEarth.

Australian Sustainability will also host the 25th Anniversary of the Banksia Sustainability Awards on the first night of the event.

“Australian Sustainability, which is the largest of its kind in Australia this year, will see both Australian and international leaders join in two-days of ground-breaking panel discussions and a range of learning and information sharing opportunities,” said Anthony Reed, Event Director, Australian Sustainability.

Topics which will be covered during the two-day conference include technology, water and energy efficiency, management and ethics, resource management, ethical investment, business practice and strategy, up-skilling workforces and international innovative practice.

Speakers at the event include John Valastro of Qantas, Phillip Kong of Hewlett Packard Australia, Richard Wilson of IKEA, and Richard Dickman of Bayer Australia.

“This event provides a unique opportunity for Australian businesses and government to showcase their leading sustainability efforts and to learn from others who have successfully adapted sustainability strategies within their industry sector,” added Mr. Reed.

On its second year the 2013 Australian Sustainability Conference will be co-located with two other premier events—All Energy, a clean energy event which is now on its 5th year, and Waste Expo , which will showcase the latest industry technologies, products and turn key solutions for the waste management, recycling and sustainability.
