EngineAI Robotics has officially opened its new EngineAI Manufacturing Base in Shenzhen, China, marking the company’s transition to large-scale manufacturing of humanoid robots.
In its announcement, the company said the new facility covers approximately 12,000 sqm and features an integrated, closed-loop manufacturing process that oversees everything from material inspection and component assembly to final assembly, end-of-life testing, mass shipment, and after-sales maintenance.
With this layout, EngineAI said the facility can produce a new humanoid robot every 15 minutes.
“From our first test machine in 2024, to the small-scale production of hundreds of PM01 units in 2025, and now to the qualitative leap toward a 10,000-unit delivery capability, we are entering a new phase of industrialisation and commercialisation,” said Zhao Tongyang, founder and CEO of EngineAI.
“By building a manufacturing system centred on quality, efficiency, and intelligent production, we have accelerated our journey from pilot production to mass manufacturing and from zero to scale.”
To maintain supply chain quality, the company said it subjects all parts to rigorous evaluations before entering production. The factory leverages advanced automation for locking, gluing, and laser welding, which has improved overall production efficiency by 40% while ensuring uniform manufacturing processes.
For its smart manufacturing operations, EngineAI said it implemented a digital management system that tracks every part of the production line, giving each component and completed robot a unique tracking identity across the entire value chain.
“As our intelligent manufacturing network expands across Shenzhen, Henan, and beyond, these facilities will work together to better allocate capacity and respond faster to the market, creating a more efficient foundation for future global growth,” said Ren Guowen, co-founder of EngineAI.
The new base’s launch comes alongside the rollout of the first batch of EngineAI’s flagship T800 full-size humanoid robots.
