PakTech, a provider of 100 per cent recycled and recyclable multipack packaging solutions, has teamed up with Endeavour Group and the commencement of its local manufacturing operations in Australia.

This move coincides with the approval of PakTech’s range of multipack beverage can handles as recyclable through the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) ARL program, the company said in a media release.

Through this collaboration, PakTech and Endeavour Group will collaborate to expand the latter’s closed-loop recycling initiative.

The scheme aims to collect recyclable PakTech clips from selected Dan Murphy’s outlets, promoting the recovery, recycling, and re-use of PakTech handles to reduce landfill waste and carbon emissions associated with packaging.

PakTech, known for its sustainable secondary packaging solutions, has the capacity to produce up to 75 million recycled multipack beverage can handles annually in Australia.

Among its local customers are Asahi, Billson’s, Hawkers Beer, and various craft beer, seltzer, and wine manufacturers.

PakTech said it has also established itself as a prominent supplier to major CPG companies like Pepsi, KraftHeinz, and Johnson & Johnson in the US.

Brandon Rogers, CEO of PakTech, expressed that the announcement represents a significant milestone for both PakTech and environmentally conscious consumers, showcasing their dedication to sustainability through local manufacturing, recycling, and repurposing initiatives.

“We’re thrilled to join forces with an industry-leading brand in the Endeavour Group, and to formally commence our on-the-ground manufacturing here in Australia,” he remarked.

The products manufactured by PakTech are crafted from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a recyclable material commonly used in milk bottles, detergent bottles, and toys.

Through a recover, recycle, and remanufacture process, PakTech maximises the collection and reuse of used materials, contributing to the circular economy.

PakTech’s products are also made from 100 per cent recycled HDPE, exemplifying the company’s commitment to sustainability and reducing single-use plastics.

Sarah McElholum, Circular Economy Sustainability Manager at Endeavour Group, expressed her organisation’s support for PakTech’s recycling initiatives.

“We’re working to understand and improve the way we manage waste and make sure our packaging is sourced sustainably, meets customer expectations of quality and durability, and can be recovered, recycled and used again,” she stated.
