Queensland’s Inside Advanced Manufacturing 2022 sees 17 manufacturers offering behind the scenes tours in the week of 16 – 20 May.

Queensland’s Inside Advanced Manufacturing 2022 event is being held statewide from 16-20 May.

The event showcases the future of manufacturing in Queensland across four geographic regions: Bundaberg and Fraser Coast, Central Queensland, North Queensland and South East Queensland.

During the week, a selection of Queensland’s top manufacturers will open their doors to showcase their innovative manufacturing techniques and technologies to other manufacturers.

Interested parties are invited to register online and join in behind-the-scenes tours where they will learn from Queensland’s early adopters of innovative and cutting-edge processes, systems, and technologies. Digital technologies, robotics, automation, and software integration will all be on show.

Exhibitors include Global Manufacturing Group, Lixia, and Simtech Creations.

Global Manufacturing Group is a metal manufacturing industry leader. It boasts over 7000 square metres of factory workspace, with modern world class equipment and lean manufacturing management principles.

Lixia is revolutionising infrastructure by developing low-cost, low-energy, wireless-based sensors for installation on critical infrastructure like structures, utilities and light poles.  Its sensors collect data, process it with cloud-based artificial intelligence, and alert users with key details.

Simtech Creations is a global leader in LED displays for stadiums, casinos, entertainment and corporate LED displays. They have a brand-new, purpose-built manufacturing facility and warehouse based just south of Brisbane.

The event is an initiative of the Queensland Government’s Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water. With it, the Department aims to support Queensland’s manufacturers and help them to remain globally competitive. Its 10-year plan is designed to increase the adoption of leading-edge design, innovation, technologies, processes and practices.

The entire 17 participating companies are:

  • Bundaberg and Fraser Coast: Superior Pak, Greensill Farming, Rheinmetall NIOA Munitions, Global Manufacturing Group (Maryborough).
