Manufacturing software provider ECI Software Solutions has launched its modern ERP system for Australian batch and process manufacturers, introducing the availability of its Deacom platform locally as part of an effort to support efficiency, compliance, and operational visibility across the manufacturing sector.

The company said the rollout is aimed at manufacturers in food, beverage, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and specialty production industries, positioning the system as a single-platform ERP designed to replace fragmented tools such as spreadsheets and disconnected legacy systems.

In a news release, ECI said the platform combines a single-database architecture with embedded AI features intended to support real-time decision-making across production, inventory, costing, quality, and traceability.

Deacom, the company’s purpose-built ERP for batch and process manufacturing, integrates finance, production, purchasing, inventory, sales, quality control, and compliance functions into one system. It also provides end-to-end traceability of materials and finished goods, tracking lot movements and warehouse activity in real time.

According to ECI, the system includes “practical AI” capabilities designed to reduce manual work and improve operational speed. Its AI Assistant feature provides on-screen support to help users understand workflows and optimise processes without relying heavily on internal support teams, while AI Invoicing automates invoice capture, matching, and exception detection, with optional automated posting of fully matched invoices into the ERP system.

In a cited Nucleus Research ROI case study referenced by ECI, Van Drunen Farms reportedly achieved a 46% return on investment after implementing Deacom, alongside a reduction in month-end close processes from 30 days to two, and 10% sales growth with a 2% rise in inventory costs. The company noted that outcomes may vary depending on individual deployments.

Paul Farrell, Senior Vice President of Product Management at ECI Software Solutions, said Australian batch manufacturers continue to face operational pressure across multiple fronts.

“Australian batch manufacturers are under increasing pressure to improve efficiency, maintain compliance, and protect margins while navigating supply chain volatility and labour shortages,” Farrell said. “Many are still relying on spreadsheets and disconnected systems that limit visibility and create operational complexity.”

He added that the platform is designed to embed AI directly into manufacturing workflows to improve responsiveness and decision-making. “Deacom embeds AI directly into the manufacturing workflow, helping teams automate manual processes and gain real-time insight into production and profitability,” Farrell said.

ECI Software Solutions said it will showcase Deacom at Australian Manufacturing Week 2026 in Brisbane from 12 to 14 May, at stand #1835.
