Australian Manufacturing Week 2026 is just a day away, with organisers placing strong emphasis on the Future Solutions Speaker Program, alongside live technology demonstrations and industry exhibits.

Positioned as a major national event for the precision manufacturing, engineering and related sectors, the exhibition will feature more than 230 exhibitors under the theme “Manufacturing the Future Through Tech Innovation”.

According to the Australian Manufacturing Technology Institute Limited, the event is expected to showcase a range of technologies aimed at improving productivity, competitiveness and resilience across the industry.

AMTIL chief executive Lorraine Maxwell said the event’s combination of live demonstrations and exhibitor engagement is designed to support informed decision-making across the sector.

“AMW is where manufacturing technology moves from theory to application,” Maxwell said. “By bringing hundreds of solutions together under one roof, and showing them operating live, the event enables manufacturers to compare options, ask informed questions and make confident decisions that support their future growth.”

A central feature of the program will be the Future Solutions Speaker Program, a free conference-style initiative focused on the sector’s key challenges and opportunities. Topics will include automation and digital transformation, artificial intelligence in manufacturing, workforce capability and skills, sustainability, defence and advanced manufacturing, and global competitiveness.

Organisers said the speaker program is intended to complement the exhibition floor by providing forward-looking insights from industry, research and policy leaders, while the live demonstrations showcase current technologies in practice.

“Manufacturers are being asked to adapt faster than ever before,” Maxwell said. “The Future Solutions Speaker Program is designed to help industry cut through complexity, understand what matters now, and make informed decisions about the technologies and strategies that will define the next generation of Australian manufacturing.”

Australian Manufacturing Week 2026 will also cover a broad range of sectors including machine tools, automation and robotics, additive manufacturing, metrology, software, tooling and materials handling.

Attendance at the event will be free for industry professionals, with organisers encouraging pre-registration to streamline entry due to expected high demand.
