    Economic Development Australia and the Australian Made Campaign join forces to drive economic growth

      Economic Development Australia (EDA) and the Australian Made Campaign have announced a new partnership which will be focused on strengthening and advancing the connection between economic development professionals and local growers and manufacturers.

      According to the media release sent to Australian Manufacturing, EDA will be in charge of facilitating the access to the resources provided by the Australian Made Campaign for economic development professionals and will also coordinate informative events regarding new opportunities and initiatives.

      Economic Development Australia Executive Officer, Jacqueline Brinkman, said the newly formed partnership between EDA and the Australian Made Campaign will most definitely boost the competitiveness of Australian businesses and drive economic growth, among other things.

      “EDA is proud to partner with the Australian Made Campaign, Australia’s most recognised and trusted country-of-origin symbol,” Ms Brinkman said.

      “The partnership between EDA and Australian Made is a fantastic way of demonstrating how effective regional branding and marketing can drive economic development. EDA represents the professionals working with industries and communities across Australia to drive economic development, and they are ideally placed to leverage the Australian Made, Australian Grown logo as a key competitive advantage for Australian exporters.”

      According to Australian Made Campaign Chief Executive, Ian Harrison, both organisations are focused on business advancement and jobs growth, as well as reinvestment in the local economy and community.

      “The Australian Made Campaign looks forward to working with EDA to support economic development professionals,” Mr Harrison said.

      The partnership was announced at this year’s Australian Made Campaign Supporters Forum.

      EDA is not the first Australian council to forge a partnership with the Australian Made Campaign; numerous councils all over Australia have been integrating the Australian Made, Australian Grown kangaroo logo into economic development communications for years. The addition of EDA to this list is wonderful news.
