Metal additive manufacturing company SPEE3D has appointed Adam Lewis as the new Chairman of its Board of Directors.

The announcement comes as Grant Anderson, the outgoing Chairman, prepares to retire, the company said in a news release.

Adam Lewis, a seasoned professional with a distinguished career, is set to bring his wealth of experience to SPEE3D as the company continues to expand its reach in providing patented cold spray additive manufacturing technology worldwide.

Lewis, formerly an Associate at McKinsey & Company in Sydney, swiftly climbed the ranks to become a Senior Partner in Australia and New Zealand.

His consultancy work at McKinsey focused on industrial and manufacturing engineering, offering a valuable perspective that aligns with SPEE3D’s goals.

Byron Kennedy, CEO of SPEE3D, expressed enthusiasm about the new leadership, stating, “We are delighted to have Adam Lewis lead our Board of Directors.”

“With his extensive background in industrial manufacturing, Adam adds a valuable perspective that will enhance our capabilities and contribute tremendously to our success,” Kennedy added.

Adam Lewis holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Curtin University, Western Australia, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.

His diverse career includes engineering roles at Randata, PKE Radio and TV broadcast technology, and the Centre for Supercomputer Applications.

“I’m honoured to be joining SPEE3D as Chairman of the Board,” Lewis commented.

He continued, “I am looking forward to collaborating with fellow board members and contributing to the strategic direction and success of a company that I deeply admire.”

“SPEE3D’s recent announcement of supplying 3D printers to Ukraine through the United States and Australian military is just one example of the growth this company is currently experiencing, and the powerful potential of its technology.”

For more than ten years, Lewis has actively participated as an investor and board member.

Currently, he holds the position of Chairman at Palette Pty Ltd, Southern Innovation, Deliciou Pty Ltd, and HPS Technology, in addition to serving as a Board member at the State Library of Victoria, offering a distinctive blend of leadership, vision, and expertise in the boardroom.
