Swisslog has introduced FastMove, a rebranded version of its monorail transport system, positioning the solution as a scalable option for businesses seeking to improve pallet movement across manufacturing facilities and warehouse operations.
According to Swisslog, FastMove builds on more than 40 years of the company’s monorail technology and is designed to transport palletised goods at speeds of up to 2 metres per second, with system capacities exceeding 600 pallets per hour.
In a news release, the company said the electrified system has been developed to help businesses manage higher throughput while maintaining flexibility. Its modular design allows throughput to be increased by adding or removing vehicles, enabling customers to expand capacity as operational requirements change.
Swisslog said the system can also reduce installation and operating costs compared with conventional conveyor-based transport systems by using fewer components for long-distance pallet transport and improving warehouse space utilisation.
Giovanni Franco, Product Manager, Pallet Transportation at Swisslog, said the new branding reflects the company’s focus on performance, scalability and long-term value.
“FastMove represents the next step in the evolution of monorail technology at Swisslog,” Franco said.
“By combining high performance with modular scalability and cost efficiency, we provide our customers with a future-ready solution that supports growth, modernisation, and long-term operational excellence.”
Swisslog said FastMove is also intended to support modernisation projects by allowing existing installations to be upgraded primarily through software and controls, with additional mechatronic changes where required, rather than replacing entire systems. The company said its next product release, expected by the end of 2026, is designed to comply with the European Union’s Cyber Resilience Act and machinery regulations.
The system is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C and can handle loads of up to 1,500 kilograms, or up to 3,000 kilograms in twin-load configurations. Swisslog said these capabilities make it suitable for industries including food and beverage, consumer goods and retail.
FastMove also integrates with Swisslog’s SynQ software platform, which the company said enables data-driven control of material flows and coordination between automated and manual warehouse processes.
