Queensland manufacturers are receiving government funding to upgrade equipment, improve production processes and expand capacity under the state’s new Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Grants Program (TQMGP), with more than half of the first-round recipients based in regional areas.

The Queensland Government has launched a major procurement process for up to 630 new buses, with the initiative expected to create opportunities for manufacturing, assembly and supply industries across the state.

Queensland Manufacturing Minister Glenn Butcher today inspected the capabilities of Rockhampton-based business, All Industries Group, and announced that registrations are now open for the annual Inside Advanced Manufacturing event. 

Queensland is gearing up to spotlight its manufacturing prowess with "Inside Advanced Manufacturing 2024," a statewide event set to run from 2 to 13 September. 

Twenty-six of Queensland’s leading manufacturers are set to showcase their capabilities at the first Parliamentary Manufacturing Showcase event to celebrate the state’s inaugural Manufacturing Month. 

Queensland is home to a rapidly expanding manufacturing industry that employs over 180,000 people working across a wide range of sectors, such as food and beverages, advanced medication, and the production of precision aerospace components. 

Sunshine Coast caravan manufacturer ZoneRV has expanded its production with the purchase of the largest 3D printer in Australia after receiving a Made in Queensland grant of $1.16 million.
