The company manufactures high-quality, robust commercial and recreational motor vessels for commercial fishing, charter, patrol sea rescue, medical support, surveillance and recreational use.

Following the success at the five-day event, with one confirmed sale and numerous quotes requested, Steber International revealed plans to exhibit at next year’s Shanghai Boat Show.

According to the news release issued by the company, Steber’s scale model display covered a range of commercial and recreational vessels from 28 to 60ft, as well as the unmanned surface vessel, the SSS Bluebottle.

“During the show we took time to talk with existing Steber clients, including various government departments, and were delighted to show off the new 38ft SLR (Super Long Rescue) and SS (Super Sports) models,” said Managing Director, Alan Steber.

“The model boats were acknowledged by many as a ‘smart move’ in helping open up conversations regarding customising options for potential customers. We have a great reputation in the marine industry and customers have confidence in talking to us, even though we are not standing on a full-size vessel.”

NSW Deputy Premier, Andrew Stoner and Minister for Roads and Maritime, Duncan Gay visited the Steber stand where they discussed potential industry improvements.

“Mr Steber also met with Jessica Toh (pictured) and Tim Stanford from The Media Shop Group based out of Singapore to start preparing a marketing strategy to enter the China and South East Asia markets,” it says in the news release.

A potential Fijian distributor also exhibited interest in the Steber commercial range during the show.

Mr Steber is a founding member and current board member of the BIA (Boating Industry Association), board member and Export Champion of AIMEX (Australian International Marine Export Group) and has been recognised as an industry stalwart, receiving the Centenary Medal in 2001 for services to the marine industry.
